How to Troubleshoot a Dripping Faucet Before You Call Us

A dripping faucet is the most common call we get, and the good news is that half the time the fix is simple. Start by shutting off the water valves under the sink, then plug the drain so no small parts disappear.

Remove the handle, unscrew the packing nut, and lift out the cartridge or stem. In most cases you will find a worn washer or a cracked O-ring. Take the old part to the hardware store so the replacement matches exactly.

If the drip continues after reassembly, the valve seat itself may be corroded. That is the point to call us: reseating a valve needs a specialist tool, and forcing it can crack the fixture. Our technicians carry seats, cartridges, and seals for every major brand, so one visit usually ends the drip for good.
